British Taekwondo (BT) is the official Taekwondo organisation in Great Britain for World Taekwondo, they are also members of the British Olympic Association.
Kukkiwon is the world headquarters for Taekwondo located in Seoul, South Korea. They are responsible for issuing worldwide recognised dan certificates, setting and educating instructors on the standards for martial arts practice and organising major competitions encompassing the whole of the Taekwondo curriculum.
Taekwondo was founded when the heads of 9 major schools in Korea gave up their individual identities and combined to form a single unifed martial art. Changmookwan was the fourth of the 9 major schools to open and Stevenage Taekwondo is a proud member of the World Taekwondo Changmookwan Federation.
